Q: When do applications open to become a representative for my school?
A: The application cycle will open in the spring of 2025. After your application is reviewed, you will be called for an interview. This does not mean you are automatically admitted into the program. You will receive your decision letter after all the interviews have been completed.
Q: What would be my role as a representative?
A: Representatives hold a job of their choosing to support the BSC. They also act as a resource in their respective school.
Q: What are the jobs for representatives?
A: You can choose from a range of areas to work in from communications to mentorship. These jobs are formally offered to representatives only, but can be informally assumed by general members.
Q: How long will I serve as a representative?
A: Depending on your grade level (rising 9th through 12th) you will serve until you step down or graduate.
Q: What if I fail to comply with the representative Code of Conduct?
A: Infractions can lead up to expulsion, but we will review situations on a case by case basis
Q: Can I still register to be a general member even if I don't get in as a representative?
A: Yes. Your general membership in the BSC is not affected by the admissions rejection or acceptance.
